Erika Girardi is originally from Atlanta, Georgia and was raised by her mother, a classically-trained pianist.
She attended the North Atlanta High School for the Performing Arts, then left for New York City at the age of 18 to pursue her dream of being a performer.
A few years later, Erika married and had a son.
After a divorce, she moved to LA where she met and married Thomas Girardi, a famous trial attorney and founding partner of Girardi & Keese.
Tom is one of the nation’s top trial lawyers and with nearly fifty years of experience representing high-profile clients.
He travels extensively for work on one of their two private jets, and doesn’t plan to retire anytime soon.
Erika has been named a dance and pop diva by the public – having been described as “sassy, fun and provocative” when performing.
She has said that she originally created the alter ego “Erika Jayne” to keep that stage persona separate from who she really is.
She described Erika Jayne as being “a fantasy character”, despite being “a real part of me, but not 24 hours a day.”
She has appeared on several magazine editorials and front covers, including Billboard, LGBT Weekly and VanityHype.
Jayne supports LGBT community worldwide and “feels at home with the community”.
She is considered a gay icon, and the gay community has embraced her.
Erika made her debut on the music scene back in 2007 with her first single “Rollercoaster,” which went to number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart.
Ericka has had eight #1 Billboard singles, toured the world, and collaborated with Flo Rida.
Erika’s Home Life
When Erika Jayne is not performing, Erika Girardi can be found “living a big fancy life” at home.
She and her husband live in a 5-acre 1920s mansion in Pasadena, co-architected by Myron Hunt.
With the help of interior decorator Joan Behnke, the estate has a feeling of old Hollywood glamour.
